BP Bunge listed in Corporate Reputation ranking

BP Bunge Bioenergia – one of Brazil’s leaders in the ethanol, sugar and bioelectricity markets – appears for the first time in its four years of operation among the companies with the best reputation in Brazil in the energy sector. The company is listed in fifth place in the sector ranking of the Monitor Empresarial de Reputação Corporativa [Corporate Reputation Business Monitor], coordinated by Merco, a company that carries out research in 16 countries in Latin America and Europe. In Brazil, the field study for the 10th edition of the ranking consisted of more than 11,000 interviews and was carried out between April and December 2023.

For Mara Pinheiro, Communications Executive Officer, Institutional Relations and ESG at BP Bunge, the company’s presence in the ranking reflects the company’s consistent track record in delivering significant results, associated with the good operational practices that have led the company to occupy, in this short time, a prominent position among the largest companies in the sugar-ethanol industry.

“Since the beginning of the business, we’ve been strongly concerned with growing sustainably, in other words, delivering good results without forgetting our role with the people and communities we impact. We have an ESG agenda that guides the company’s growth until 2030, and we have already progressed on many of the commitments and targets set out there. I believe that all this has brought us to this important recognition,” she said.

Market Recognition

In 2023, BP Bunge was also recognized in other important sector rankings. In Valor 1000, it was considered the best company in the country in the Bioenergy sector. In the Época Negócios 360º yearbook, the company obtained 8^th place among companies in the Energy sector in two areas: Financial Performance and ESG – Corporate Governance.
