BP Bunge opens office in São José do Rio Preto (SP)
The new space will concentrate the activities of the company's agricultural management center, make it more attractive to new talent and ensure proximity to the mills in the countryside of São Paulo.
por BP BungeBP Bunge Bioenergia, one of Brazil’s leaders in the ethanol, sugar and bioelectricity markets, opened a new office on Wednesday (20) in the city of São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of São Paulo, aiming to boost the efficiency of its operations, since this structure will make it possible to consolidate the activities of the agricultural management center, known as SmartHub, accommodate its professionals and future talents in an even more attractive way, in addition to increasing proximity to its mills in the region.
The new space reflects BP Bunge’s current business momentum, marked by a focus on investment and excellence in its operations. For Geovane Consul, the company’s CEO, the inauguration is yet another important project in line with the company’s strategy. “Our focus is on people and the professional development we can provide, on having operational excellence and productivity with digital transformation, evolving our financial performance, as well as advancing even further with regenerative agriculture. These are some of the key elements that support our strategic plan. And with this new structure we are moving a little further along this path,” said the executive.
The office in São José do Rio Preto will allow for greater integration of BP Bunge’s plants, favoring the safety and efficiency of operations. The novelty is that the entire Agricultural Management Center, the SmartHub, will be centralized there. The hub is responsible for area planning, digital technologies applied to the field and the operations center, which monitors all planting, HTT (harvesting, transshipment and transportation) activities 24 hours a day, in real time, online and remotely, as well as monitoring and fighting fires, telemetry, fatigue and transporting people. Previously, this structure was segmented and part of it was based in the São Paulo office.
As a result, the company is expanding the number of job opportunities generated locally. “We have some vacancies here in the region, which is one of the most structured and qualified in the country. We hope to contribute to local income generation and bring more development to the city. BP Bunge focuses on people and this new office was only possible thanks to the collaboration of our team”, commented Cesar Bresciani, the company’s Human Resources director.
