BP Bunge Bioenergia wins acknowledgment of Valor Carreira

The company is in the top five in people management in the category of 7.000 to 17.000 employees.

BP Bunge Bioenergia is one of the best companies in people management, according to “Valor Carreira” in the category of 7.001 to 1.000 employees. The company won the 4th position in the awards held by the Valor Econômico Journal, which announced the winners in an online ceremony this Wednesday, December 22nd.

Formed in December 2019, the company, one of the leaders in the sugar-energy sector in the country, has more than 8.500 direct and 4.500 indirect employees, distributed across 11 agribusiness units located in five Brazilian States. A team responsible for the company to stand out in bioenergy (ethanol and bioelectricity), act in the energy transition with cleaner and renewable sources and feed the world with Brazilian sugar.
“We are very proud. In just two years, our people management practices have already started to be recognized”, says Mario Lindenhayn, Executive President and Board of Directors of BP Bunge Bioenergy. “Practices that contribute to keeping employees engaged in our culture and business strategy, through qualification, meritocracy, care for health and safety and the appreciation of diversity, among many other initiatives”.

The company’s organizational culture, which is based on values such as respect, safety, integrity, excellence and ‘a team’, was fundamental in comparison with the other companies participating in the study. Added to this recognition of the culture of integrity, organizational agility, responsible leadership, healthy work environment, fair way of rewarding, attractive careers, prosperous individuals and employee engagement.

César Bresciani, Human Resources Director at BP Bunge Bioenergia, attributes this achievement to the professional development model adopted since the company’s creation. “To integrate and standardize people management practices and processes, we carry out surveys, listened to our employees and understand our strengths, identifying and acting on aspects that can be improved”, he explains. This allowed the company to create a development journey focused on building teams that are inspired and prepared to achieve business goals and overcome future challenges, in addition to providing personal and professional growth.

This is the 19th edition of the “Valor Carreira – The Best in People Management” award. In partnership with Mercer consultancy, the study assesses how Brazilian companies improved their people management practices during the year. The methodology includes a survey with employees and a questionnaire answered by the companies’ HR. In 2021, the survey also considered how HR leaders have acted on the ESG agenda.
